"I am passionate about the natural beauty of flowers. The sublime in the simple."

I’ve often been asked “What is your design philosophy?”

Flowers have the ability to convey sentiments and express emotions. Flowers should be enjoyed every day; a blooming branch, a cluster of lilacs, a single rose, incorporating flowers in daily life is as simple as walking out the door.

Helping clients define their floral style during consultations and bringing that vision to fruition is my favorite part of what I do. An avid believer in continuing education I take classes and attend conferences on the art of floral and event design yearly.

About Heidi Inabinet

My mother gave me a corsage for my 8th grade graduation and from that day forward I wanted to be a florist.  I started work as a part-time floral designer in a small shop in Maine and have never looked back. Our family then moved to Hawaii, where I was fortunate to learn the art of tropical design. In 1997, we returned to Charleston where I worked as a designer for shops in both the downtown and Mount Pleasant areas. In 2002, On A Limb was born of my lifelong passion for flowers. Like the curly willow branches that I frequently use, there have been many twists and turns along this garden's path. The idea that started at my kitchen table, transitioned into a retail flower shop and now its current personification as a custom floral studio. On A Limb has been serving Summerville and the greater Charleston area for over a decade.

I am inspired by art, tradition, history and all things nature. Whether a wedding, a shower, a simple dinner party or fundraisers for the local Chamber of Commerce, I love designing beautiful florals. I enjoy working with clients to facilitate a concept for designs that express their taste and sentiment for that special event.

I truly am passionate about the natural beauty of flowers.
